Our clients are on six continents and 30 different countries. One of our primary goals is to help insurers get the most value from the behavioral data acquired through our innovative telematics technology.
We are a company with the tech behind the unique LaqoPrevent program. The LaqoPrevent program is part of Croatia's LAQO insurance offer, the first fully digital insurance solution in southern Europe.
Our data scientists support insurers in developing risk and pricing models out of sensor data and help them understand user behavior to predict risk, churn, and insurance product needs.
All about the role
- Working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions and monitor outcomes
- Developing processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy
- Taking over responsibility for projects and be the face to the customer
- Taking responsibility for the implementation of tailor-made Machine Learning solutions specific to our customers – from a first PoC and MVP to fully operating applications
- Documenting, interpreting, and communicating results to various stakeholders
- Leading and coaching team members, sharing knowledge, and establishing best-practices company-wide
- Coordinating different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
- Developing processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy
- Taking over responsibility for projects and be the face to the customer
We're looking for someone with
- Min 5 years of experience in Data Science
- MSc or PhD in Mathematics or Statistics (with software engineering knowledge) or Software engineering (with founded knowledge in statistics)
- Python (preferred), R, SAS
- SQL, NoSQL
- Experience in working with following technologies: TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, and similar frameworks or libraries
- Familiarity with Containerization (Docker) and Cloud-Computing
- Classification, Clustering, Regression, Time Series Analysis, Dimensionality Reduction, neural networks
- Understanding of smartphone applications and the technology around them (preferred)
- Fundamental business knowledge (preferred)
- Intellectual curiosity, communication, and presentation skills

- Ability to understand customer and market requirements and link these requirements to the development of appropriate ML algorithms
- Ability to transfer and communicate gained domain knowledge to colleagues and company clients
